Origin

Capricorn was based on Panin, the god of the wild mountains, whose appearance was that of a man on top and a goat on the bottom. He was a cheerful man who loved and excelled at music.

One day the gods were having a feast by the river and Panin was playing a flute for them when the monster Jevan appeared. It was too strong for Zeus to handle. When the gods saw the appearance of Jevan, they immediately turned into various animals and fled, while the panicked Penn turned into a fish and tried to jump into the river. Zeus eventually raised this form of Penn into the sky and transformed him into a constellation.

Capricorn under different planets

The Sun Capricorn: takes their work seriously and works hard, gradually building up authority and discipline and working intently towards their goals. Self-control, prudence and conservatism are the hallmarks of this sign. A pessimistic and cynical attitude towards status and power hinders social activities.

Moon Capricorn: Reacts in a self-controlled, decisive manner, sometimes with negative thinking. The need to become powerful and superior in the world hampers intimacy and emotional nourishment. Most of the time, the person will manipulate others for the sake of inner peace or to achieve a goal.

Mercury Capricorn: Communication is conducted in a serious and reserved manner; the reserved, self-conscious nature of the person reduces the effectiveness of communication. There is a great deal of perseverance and a strong ambition to make steady progress when it comes to learning.

Venus Capricorn: Expresses emotions in a discreet, faithful, serious and mechanical way. The need for pleasure and love is not satisfied because of indifference, suspicion, apathy and lack of human feelings. It requires the commitment of others in a period of emotional commitment and is usually very good at remaining faithful, assuming responsibilities in work and relationships, but self-control and emotional reserve can hinder the development of intimate relationships. 

Mars Capricorn: Self-establishment in a strictly disciplined, cautious, serious, authoritative and ambitious manner, also pursuing success through traditional channels in a steady and consistent manner. And the sexual drive is also suppressed by the ego.

Jupiter Capricorn: Seeking growth and self-improvement through diligence, discipline and steady progress, Jupiter's optimistic nature does not interfere with Capricorn's original fearful and serious attitude. He or she will make the best of himself or herself by being self-controlled, confident and reserved, with an innate and convincing sense of authority.

Saturn Capricorn: Aspiration to achieve authority and social status in order to establish and preserve oneself, with little concern for acceptance, may hinder the achievement of one's goals.

Uranus Capricorn: ambitious, old-fashioned but innovative. Excellent organisational skills and strong determination. He or she will be able to create business-like projects in a conservative way, gaining power, money and social status.

NEPTUNE CAPRICORN: Realistic, will work hard for his dreams. Neptune does not have much influence on Capricorn, as Capricorn can limit his emotions and bad habits and lead a disciplined life.

Pluto Capricorn: He or she is able to develop his inner potential, and to limit his bad habits for the sake of money and power. In order to grow up, he or she will keep restraining himself or herself and grow up again. But when the goal is achieved, it gives great psychological satisfaction for him/herself.
